Our idea with the Keepsakes line is to bring new life to your treasures. With many of our creations, we like to upcycle and repurpose many articles of fabric, such as vintage wedding dresses, canvas mail bags, and lived in denim to give a unique second life to items that would otherwise be set aside. With our Keepsakes, we would like to do the same for you! Fireflies and Freedom Boutique

Overview

Fireflies and Freedom is a project from the heart that has grown from the legacy of my grandmother, Rosa, who had a passion for everything that is handmade and beautiful. In a time were homemaking was learned at trade schools, she mastered with great talent sewing, embroidering, knitting, and crocheting. She dedicated her life to sewing with love children’s wear of the highest quality and durability but also fashionable with a stamp of her own. She also created beautifully made home décor items where she employed all her talent and skills. People would travel from far to have one of her occasion dresses and handmade designs. In honor of my grandmother, Fireflies and Freedom was created to embody all that was Rosa, grace, charm, elegance, and made from the heart. Each product is handmade with love and passion by us for you, to carry on a 90 year tradition.

Fireflies and Freedom is a Country Chic-vintage inspired line of clothing and accessories to be as bold as the individual wearing them. You were born free. Live free.

Introduction

    I chose to do this theme as it would directly help with the business my wife and I currently run. It is a small hand made boutique specializing in shabby-chic home decor, as well as custom handmade children's clothing. Our company focuses on doing things the way that was once a standard: an emphasis on quality, not pinching pennies, made in America, by Americans.
    I believe this project will help in the previously stated area by giving me a greater understanding of a more diverse social media presence. Which, hopefully translates to a greater audience that may potentially choose to go with our business.
